| Style | Blending mountain bike-inspired ruggedness with road bike-inspired speed and a dash of urban cool, the Hyde Race is an understated traffic-beater. Fast-rolling 700c Schwalbe Marathon Supreme Kevlar tyres work with the smooth, reliable and low-maintenance Gates belt drive and Shimano Alfine hub to get you where you need to be with the minimum of fuss. Powerful hydraulic disc brakes ensure you can always stop, whatever the weather chucks at you. And the whole lot is light, manouevrable and huge fun to ride. Drawing inspiration from our mountain bike hardtails, the Hyde's frame uses double-butted aluminium tubes and fast-rolling 700c wheels for speed and comfort. Neatly integrated luggage carrier and mudguard mounting points make it easy to customise, and the eccentric bottom bracket and split dropout accommodate the low-maintenance belt drive. The sleek rigid fork is the perfect accompaniment, offering crisp, precise steering to match its low weight and understated looks. |
